Heavy duty galvanised vineyard post “BIG” for demanding trellis systems
The “BIG” model is Sika’s heavy duty galvanised vineyard post and the strongest section among our vine posts. With a 65 x 45 mm profile, it suits vineyards with heavy canopies, hail nets, long spans or strong winds. As a result, the trellis stays stable and aligned season after season.
Hot-dip galvanising takes place after forming, so zinc also covers slots and cut edges. For this reason, the post resists corrosion even in humid or coastal climates. In addition, the combined H+N+H slots make wiring fast and keep fixed wires in place, even on slopes.
Whether you are planting a new vineyard or upgrading an existing one, BIG reduces maintenance and replacements over time. It also works with the whole range of galvanised steel vineyard posts and Sika end posts.

Final slot punching: positioned approximately 50 cm above ground level, in an H-shape, it can be used for resting wires or for installing irrigation tubes, enhancing the post’s versatility across different trellis configurations.
