Heavy duty corten vineyard post “BIG” for professional vineyards
The “BIG” model is Sika’s heavy duty corten vineyard post and the strongest section among our vine posts. Its 65 x 45 mm profile carries heavy canopies, hail nets and long spans. Moreover, the combined H+N+H slots make wiring fast and keep fixed wires in place, even on slopes.
Corten needs no coating. Instead, it forms a natural patina that protects the steel and regenerates after every scratch. As a result, the post needs no maintenance, and its rust-brown colour blends into the landscape. At equal profile, it also costs on average 20% less than the galvanised version.
For these reasons, BIG is the right choice for long-term, visually integrated trellis systems. You can combine it with the full range of corten steel posts and Sika end posts. However, in permanently waterlogged soils, choose the galvanised BIG instead.

As simple as an external hook, yet as secure as an internal one.
The slots are resistant to deformation during mechanical harvesting, ensuring maximum reliability. Designed for ease and speed during installation, they provide final support for drip lines and movable wire pairs.
Final slot punching: positioned approximately 50 cm above ground level, in an H-shape, it can be used for resting wires or for installing irrigation tubes, enhancing the post’s versatility across different trellis configurations.
