Hot-dip galvanising after forming. First we shape the post, then we dip it in molten zinc. The zinc covers the whole piece, including slots, cut edges and punched areas. These are exactly the points where corrosion starts first. In addition, the zinc layer is thicker, so service life grows considerably in harsh conditions. We recommend this finish for humid or saline sites and for vineyards with intensive spray programmes.
Pre-galvanised strip. In this case we form the post from strip that already carries the zinc coating. The finish is uniform on flat surfaces, while cut edges stay exposed. On the other hand, these posts are lighter, so handling and installation in the field are easier. It is the most economical option in the galvanised range and works well in most conditions.
Steel thickness ranges from 1.5 mm to 2.15 mm, depending on profile and finish.
